Herlinda Reyes-Kennedy, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and daughter, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on November 27, 1970, Herlinda lived a life defined by her fierce dedication to those she loved. This coming June, she and her beloved husband, Kevin Kennedy, would have celebrated 25 years of marriage—a partnership built on enduring devotion and deep friendship.
A Legacy of Family
Herlinda’s greatest pride was her children. She is survived by her three daughters, Krystal Santos, Ashley Benally, and Mary Gazcon, as well as her son, Ramon Hernandez.
While she wore many titles, her favorite by far was "Grandmother." Her grandchildren were her greatest joy in life, and her spirit lives on through Zofie Hernandez, Ray Hernandez, Emma Miehlke, Julian Santos, Camila Gazcon, and Celina Gazcon.
A Heavenly Reunion
Herlinda is survived by her father, Abel Reyes, her brother, Joseph Reyes, her half sister Ann Roeber, and her half brother Luis Reyes. As she transitions from this life, she goes to join those who paved the way before her. She is now reunited with:
• Her mother, Maria Garcia
• Her sister, Sandra Reyes
• Her grandparents, Isabel and Tircio Baca
• Her mother-in-law, Lorella Kennedy, and father-in-law, James Kennedy

Herlinda will be remembered for her warmth, her laughter, and the unwavering way she protected and nurtured her family. She leaves behind a legacy of love and strength that will be carried forward by her children and grandchildren for generations to come.

A viewing will be held Tuesday, March 3, 2026 from 4:30pm - 8:00pm with a rosary to be recited at 6:00pm Mead mortuary 36930 Irwin Rd. Barstow, California 92311. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at 10:00am St. Joseph's Catholic church 505 E. Mountain View st. Barstow, California 92311 with a committal service to follow at Mt. View Memorial Park 37067 Irwin Rd. Barstow, California 92311.
