Nancy Ann Bilsborough

With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Nancy Bilsborough, age 70, who departed peacefully at her home on May 7, 2025. She was born November 10, 1954 and is the daughter of the late Don and Laura Bilsborough.

Nancy's family moved to Barstow in 1956, where they quickly became an integral part of the community. She spent three decades living in Pasadena and Los Angeles before returning to Barstow in 2007 to raise her son closer to family, in the community that had nurtured her.

Most recently, Nancy served as a prominent realtor at Coldwell Banker Home Source in Barstow, guiding families through one of life's most significant transitions with integrity and care. Driven by her genuine concern for her clients' well-being, she was recognized for her ability to connect people with homes where they would thrive and establish roots in the community.

Since moving back to Barstow in 2007, she supported her local community and Barstow High School through volunteerism and philanthropy and was an active member of the the Shepherd of the Desert Lutheran and St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. Nancy never sought recognition for her contributions, preferring instead to work behind the scenes.

Neighbors, family, clients, colleagues, and friends will remember the profound impact she had on the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing her. As her niece noted, "Nancy helped build this community one home at a time and taught us that a life of quiet purpose can leave the loudest echo." Her legacy will continue in the countless lives she touched and the neighborhoods she helped shape, creating a community where people don't just reside, but truly belong.

She is survived by her brother Mark Bilsborough and his wife Mary, of Phoenix, her son Robinson Bilsborough of Barstow, and a community who will profoundly feel her absence.

The memorial service is scheduled on June 16, 2025 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church at 10:00 am, followed by the burial at Mountain View Cemetery.
