

With heavy hearts we announce that our father, grandfather, William Baker Booth “Bill” born October 8, 1924, surrendered to Rest In Peace on December 3, 2019 at the age of 95. Dad spent his life in Love and service to others. After graduating high school in Bell, California, he served in WWII on the USS Hancock CV 19 in the United States Navy as a Plane Captain, Aviation Machinist. He survived a kamikaze attack on April 7, 1945 when many of his shipmates perished. When Bill returned home he married and fathered two sons Michael W. Booth and Kenneth Booth. Dad saved his money and purchased a service station which he operated for several years. His legacy was the Red Rooster Resort RV campground and Mobile home park on the Colorado River north of Blythe California. Bill and his wife Evelyn operated the park for 32 years where they thrived and served families enjoying vacations at their home away from homes. He was a genuine and generous soul who came to the rescue of everyone in need. Bill resided in Barstow, California in his final years. He is preceded in death by his Father Robert William Booth, Mother Mayme Catherine Booth, Brother Robert Booth, Son Kenneth Booth. Survived by Children Michael W. Booth, Dana Herzog, Virginia Herzog, Sandy L Bupp, Carole Plume, Nadine Love, Diana Pellman, Joyce Love, Lester R Allen, Ronald Allen, Don Allen, Louise Collins. Terry Kranick , 32 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts ♥️
