Dear Aunt Shirley, Judy, J.J. and family,
Only time will help heal the void in your hearts.  Uncle Ben was such a wonderful person.  I'm so glad I was able to come out and see where Ben enjoyed his life in California.  What a beatiful community to live in.  Aunt Shirley you have wonder friends, neighbors and family that will help you through this time in your life. I was very touched to see where Ben spent the last years of his life.  The facility was such a beautiful place and the staff were so caring.  You were a wonderful and loving wife to Ben. I know the last 2 years were hard but you stayed at his side.  May all the wonderful years you had together get you through the rough times ahead.  We love you and will miss Uncle Ben.

Dear Aunt Shirley and Janusek Family,

Rick and I would like to send our deepest sympathy to all of you. Uncle Ben was always a calm, happy man with a voice that could always put one at ease. I will never forget our Vegas and California trips! We had so much fun spending time together. He always thought I "fit in" in California. When I visited him in Banning for his 50th anniversary, he was so proud to show me the beautiful place that he lived. I enjoyed spending my visit with him driving around in his golf cart! He loved how he didnt need a car and could use his golf cart to drive around his community. Make the best of each day because that is what he would want you to do. Take time each day to think of a great memory of Uncle Ben and that will for sure put a smile on your face and lift your spirits.

My deepest sympathy to you, Shirley, Judy and family. My brother Ben was a very kind and caring man.  He was a wonderful, brother and someone I could talk to and especially after Eddie died, he was a geat advisor.  I was so glad to visit the Lakes and see where he spent the last 2 years.  It was a warm and caring place and I could see how much the employees and residents truly loved our Ben.  Shirely, you have had some difficult years dealing with his Parkinson's disease but you were a truly dedicated and loving wife. Life is never the same after you lose your spouse but fill your days with activities and hang onto those wonderful memories. My fondest memories of Ben were: When at home we would no sooner finish our dinner and he was in the refrigerator looking for something to eat. Taking Dizz's truck for a joy ride (even before he had his liscense) only to be found out because he didn't return the truck to its original parking spot. Calling mom at 10am to say "what's for lunch?"  My most recent and happiest memory was sharing in your 50th anniversary celebration. The event was beautiful and you both looked stunning. I remember Ben on the dance floor having a great time with that big smile on his face.  This is how I chose to remember my brother.  Cling to the good memories and laugh at the funny ones, this along with your family,friends and faith will get you through until you someday meet again.  Love, Nancy

Dear Shirley......To you and to Judy, J. J. and the grandkids, we extend our deepest sympathy.  For more than 50 years, Shirley, you experienced on a daily basis, the best of Ben and, more recently, the worst with his physical and mental decline.  You knew him, as we all did, as a happy, vibrant and personable man who loved life, his work, his golf, and most of all, his family. Our memories, as his sister and brother-in-law, will always be of those healthy good years in Pa. before his illness.  Perhaps more than anything we will remember his smile and the almost unique laugh that could light up a room.  We all were blessed to have had many good years with Ben.  Back here in Pa. we were doubly blessed by not having to witness first-hand his decline and the effect it had on you, Judy and her family.  With the passage of time, hopefully the good times and good memories will help ease the burden of your loss.  Again, our deepest sympathy.

Dear Shirley, Judy and Family - As we are sorrowful with you at the loss of Ben as husband, father and grandfather, we reflect on his life as we knew him.  The few times that we visited with all of you in Greensburg and Banning, Ben always impressed us with his intelligence, calmness and quiet confidence.  Those attributes were truly his hallmark throughout his life and were immediately evident upon meeting him.  As a naval submariner, to thrive under the depths of the ocean, a remarkable sense of sereneness and quiet discerning contemplation is needed for long periods of time.  Ben had those qualities in his twenties.  After his military service, Ben showed fitting interest in the study of metals - substances of hardness, lasting durability and strength.  Ben had those qualities.  His exemplary demeanor was always very pleasant to be around.  Visiting with Ben made you feel good.  It's like you thought that here's a guy who seems to have a presence closer to God.  A certain inner peacefulness.  And yet you could see that he was the patriarchal strength of the family.  In his later years, as his body became effected by the Parkinson's disease, physically outward he may have seemed to lose some of that calmness, but we think that you can rest assured that he has now returned to an eternal peacefulness in the realm of the Lord.  Our lives have certainly been enriched by knowing him and we will truly miss him.

I miss you, I am so thankful that I was able to meet you and get to know a wonderful man over the 2.5 years that you resided at The Lakes I know the past few months I didn't get to see you as much because of my job transfer to a new building, although I am thankful I was able to be at your bedside your last few days with us. I will never forget the times, laughs, and memories of Ben I hold on to the thoughts of going into his room in the morning to get him ready for the day. He would tell me "come in sit down and have a cookie" or whatever kind of goodies Shirley would bring in for him. May you rest in peace forever Benjamin Dorazio. Aunt Shirley, Judy, JJ, Ashley, Ben and Carly.... Uncle Ben has added so much to so many lives.  He, and all of you, are such a part of my own childhood memories and family life.  His presence has left an imprint in the 'life memories' treasured by so many people who have had the pleasure of knowing him over all these wonderful years.  He was one person who always had a smile on his face and a greeting for everyone. Dear Judy and JJ,
After scanning through the photographs which captured your dad's life, I felt like I knew him. He had a great twinkle in his eye and you could tell how much he loved your mother and all of you. I especially appreciated the photo of him lying on the couch with your mother there... and the one of him feeding one of his elderly buddies. Those two really touched my heart. It is so sad to let go of our parents... and I dread the day that I have to say good-bye to mine. My step-father, Archie was also an avid golfer and your dad reminded me so much of him. Dear Shirley: Not knowing of Ben's struggle with Parkinson's I was both surprised and saddened while reading today's paper. Ben and I had some good times at LESCO and socially.
