Bobby Ray Boatman

Bob was preceded in death by his parents James Oscar and Mary Olive Boatman, his brother Buddy Boatman, his sister Lawanda Thorp, and his former wife Beverly Boatman (mother of his two children).

He is survived by his wife Donna Mae Boatman, his two daughters Brenda Louise Lucia and Lisa Carol Putman, his four grandsons Christopher Lucia, Daniel Lucia, Jason Putman, and Michael Putman and three great-grandsons.

Bob was a hard worker his entire life. His first full-time job was running the film reels for the local movie theater at the age of 12. He had many more jobs throughout his life, but spent 40+ years as a salesman for 3M company. He retired from 3M in his 60s, but held many other sales jobs until he fully retired at the age of 89.

When he wasn’t working, Bob enjoyed fishing, travel, and his favorite pastime, golf.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Bob from 1:00pm-3:00pm on Friday, March 14, 2025 at his residence in Sun Lakes.
