

Dalton Allen, 91, longtime resident of Sun Lakes in Banning and also Ontario, California, passed away peacefully at home on 4/19/2015. Dalton was born in 1923 and raised in London, Texas on a small farm with 8 brothers and sisters who have preceded him in death. He served bravely in WWII as a ball turret gunner flying missions in B24 planes over Nazi Germany. Married to his loving wife and surviving widow, Billie Maxine (Coggins) Allen for 69 years. Their love is boundless and eternally special. Three children, Connie Kelly-Wood, Patricia Norcutt and Douglas Allen with grandkids, Cindy, Michael, Kim, Laura, Mark, Jennifer and Andrea. Also, Great grandchildren, Collyn, Christine, Gwenevere, Wyatt, Salvador and Billie. Many more wonderful nieces and nephews, friends and neighbors. Dalton was a foreman for Southern California Edison for 35 years; known for his work ethic and fairness. More than that, Dalton was known for his honesty, integrity and the biggest Texan heart. He loved people and people loved him. Dalton was a skilled fisherman, boater and water skier. Dalton loved to dance and always had a smile at the ready with a twinkle in his eye. He will be forever cherished in our hearts.
A graveside service is scheduled for Monday, April 27, 2015 at 10:00 am at Crestlawn Memorial Park, 11500 Arlington Avenue, Riverside, CA.
