On April 2, 2011, Diane Sanchez returned to the arms of the Lord. She is survived by her husband, Arturo; three daughters, Leah, Aysia and Jezebell; parents, Maria and Preciliano Trujillo; sister, Susan and brother, Robert, as well as dozens of cousins, aunts, uncles, in-laws, friends and neighbors who loved her.
Diane was born on February 21, 1975, in Yokusuka Naval Hospital, Japan. As part of a military family, Diane grew up in Japan; Novato, California; Panama and Guam before settling in Moreno Valley, California. As a child, she enjoyed playing with Barbie dolls, drawing, experimenting with new make-up and hairstyles and cleaning but not cooking. As an adult, Diane was a devoted wife and mother who enjoyed spending time with her daughters, playing together, helping them with homework, shopping for them, watching their softball games, still playing with dolls and make-up and decorating her house so that her husband and children had a beautiful home in which to live. She loved to laugh and lived life to the fullest. She enriched the lives of all who knew her with her kindness, generosity and love of life.
Some of her fondest memories include vacationing with her husband and children in Disneyland and Disney World. Her proudest achievement was raising her children to know and love Jesus. Her devotion to Christ has influenced the lives of her loved ones, many of whom have since turned their lives over to the Lord as well.
Diane took pleasure in spending time with her family and friends and especially cherished her close relationship with her husband, sister, sister-in-law, Rica and her best friend and mother, Maria. She enjoyed entertaining in her home, which she had decorated tastefully and attractively. She still did not enjoy cooking. Diane spent the final weeks of her young life in her home surrounded by her family and friends under the devoted and loving care of her husband, for which her family will be eternally grateful.
