Donald William Rosene

Donald William Rosene passed away at San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital on the morning of April 1, 2016. He was 81 years old. He is survived by his loving wife Jenny, and 3 children-Nancy (Gary), Janice (Albert), Thomas, 2 step children Shelley, Jeremy (Liou), grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Judy Johnston (Kenny), sister in law Diane, and brother in law Tom. Don worked at National Steel and Shipbuilding, later as a Piping Engineer for Ralph M. Parsons Co. for over 20 years, and eventually retired from Parsons. Don loved the outdoors. He loved backpacking, camping, hiking…anything to do with the nature. His favorite place was Yosemite National Park and Grand Canyon National Park. After retirement, Don dedicated much of his time and energy to many volunteering work for the community. He was a ranger for the Forest Service, a volunteer for the San Bernadino National Forest fire lookout, a manager at Carol’s Kitchen to feed the hunger. He drove to Riverside picking up groceries for the local food bank H.E.L.P. He was also a truck driver for a local Thrift store picking up donations. In addition, he was also a member of the Kiwanis. Don was a dedicated Catholic. He served as a Eucharist Minister at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Church.

A celebration of Don’s life will be held on Friday April 15, 2016 at 10:00 am, St. Kateri Tekakwitha Church at 1234 Palm Ave., Beaumont, CA 92223
