

Ernest was an Air Force veteran of World War II, the Korean Conflict, Vietnam War and participated in the Berlin Airlift. During his 31 years in the Air Force he attained the rank of Colonel and was awarded the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star, Bronze Arrowhead for airborne invasion , 8 air medals , The Federal Republic of Germany Friendship Award, and the Operation Vittles Award
Ernest earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland and then went on to The Southwestern School of Law in Los Angeles, CA, where he completed his Law Degree.
He practiced law for 20 years at the firm of Chase, Rotchford, Drukker and Bogust in San Bernardino where he successfully argued two cases before the California State Supreme Court.
He was active with his community and participated with several organizations including, The San Bernardino Elks Club, The Riverside Order of Daedalians, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars, post 521.
He attended church at the Seventh Day Adventist church in Banning. He will be dearly missed and was truly loved by all those who knew him
He is survived by his loving wife, Alicia Thorne; sons, Jacques Triplett, and William Triplett both of Virginia; sisters Sonya Welsh of Maryland and Sandra Pruitt of Texas.
A Memorial Service in his Honor will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at 2:00pm at Weaver Mortuary 1177 Beaumont Ave, Beaumont, California 92223
Graveside service will be held with Military Honors at 12:00 pm Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside, California 92518.
