Frederick was a resident of the Pass area for the last 37 year; 34 years in Beaumont and three years in Banning.
He was formerly a member of the Elks Lodge and Eagles Lodge during the 1980s.
He served as an air traffic controller for 22 years in the Navy.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley A Walters; and mother Shirley M. Arnold.
He is survived by his daughter, Freddi (Remi) Armenta, of Beaumont; son, Michael (Karen) Walters, of Brooklyn Park, Minn; brothers, James (Shannon) Arnold, of Burkburnett, Texas and Richard (Pamela) Arnold, of Farmington, N.M.; four grandchildren: Amy Armenta, of Las Vegas, Kara Schmitz, of Phoenix, Abby Jo Walters, of Brooklyn Park, N.M., and Jake Walters, of Brooklyn, N.M.; two great-grandchildren: Aiden Ford and Zoie Ford, of Phoenix; and his nieces and nephews.
Inurnment will take place at Riverside National Cemetery at 2 p.m. with date still to be determined.
