Wonderful, fun loving lady!  I am so sorry for your loss and I hope that many wonderful memories help sustain you during this time of grief.

Mrs. Peterson was my 1st grade teacher and my favorite teacher. I loved "Puff the Magic Dragon" as a kid and had the song memorized. At the end of first grade she gave me her copy of the album to keep. I cherished that album. She is the teacher that I will always remember and the one that made the biggest difference in my life.

I didn't move to Beaumont early enough to have Mrs. Peterson as my teacher - but that hardly ever matters in little town like Beaumont. I knew and loved her for her energy, her intellect, her direct honesty and her razor sharp wit. Whenever I met the Hackneys out somewhere for dinner or a local event I hoped Harryette would be a part of the deal and if she was I made sure I sat next to her because I knew how hard we'd both laugh together. I moved away 3 years ago and hadn't had as much occasion to see her and I was so sad to hear of her passing. Godspeed Harryette - you were one of kind and one of the BEST and I feel so lucky to have had your reciprocal affection. XOXO

Abbey I am so sorry for the loss of your beautiful Mother. She was such a lovely person. Always so kind to me and a good friend to my Mom and Dad.  God Bless her and you and your family as you grieve.

Miss Harriette was my nursery school teacher. I loved her from the start. I have known her about 48 years. She was a loving supportive woman who brought the best out in people. She always encouraged my art and she is one of the reasons I am an artist today. She will be missed!

Dear Abbey, Mike & Ashley, Felt such sadness when I heard of Harryette's passing. What a kind, generous person. She was always so friendly and genuinely interested in everyone's well- being. I will always treasure her kindness to my son, David. Know I will smile when I think of her. God be with you all.

Our Family was so sorry to hear about Harriet's passing.  She was a strong woman with a great sense of right and wrong, while never judging others.  She love her children and grandchildren unconditionally.  Jim and I enjoyed our visits with your mom, and know her words of wisdom will follow you far into the future. 
She was kind enough to open her home to our family when my father passes alway.  Abbie please know how proud she was of the wonderful woman you are.

My Aunt Harriett was a wonderful person and I am so blessed that she married my Uncle Dick and became a part of the Peterson Family.  She was funny and any time we had a family gathering, it was always a good time.  To my Cousin Abby, Losing your Brother Pete two years ago and now your Mom, hang in there and know that there are so many that love and support you.  Please let me know if you need anything. I met her once, thru Terri Tinker. We had lunch at Chili's. She was so funny and so caring. I remember thinking she must be an amazing grandma and mom!! From the stories I've heard she was all that and more. Prayers to you all in this time of loss. May God fill you with strength, peace, and love.

I can not begin to share my memories of Harryette.   There are hundreds of thousands of them.  To Abbie - stay strong Babygirl and know that many loved your Mom and she will always be a special part of their lives because of the woman she was and her special ways.  I will love her always.
