Age 85, passed away in Banning, CA on May 5, 2012. She was born on September 27, 1926 in Hastings-on-Hudson, New York and was a resident of Banning, CA for 24 years. She moved to Sun Lakes in 1988, previously of Garden Grove and Yorba Linda for 30 years. She was a homemaker for 63 years.
Helen was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas Tompkins and her son, Scott Tompkins. Helen is survived by her husband of 16 years, Richard N. Taylor of Banning, CA; grandsons, Ian Tompkins and Jason Tompkins, both of La Center, WA; and brother, Bob (Judy) Fitzgerald of Mansfield, Arkansas.
Memorial Service to be held Saturday, May 26, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Banning United Methodist Church, 235 North Second Street, Banning, CA 92220. Inurnment at Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, CA.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Visiting Nurses Association Inland Counties-Banning (VNAIC-Banning), 264 N. Highland Springs Ave., Bldg. 4, Suite B, Banning, CA 92220.
