James Mearl Ray, 78, passed away March 18, 2011 in Banning, California. Born on May 28, 1932 in Chicago, Illinois, he lived most of his life in Southern California. A Navy veteran, he served in the Korean War.
Jim worked for Rockwell International for 30 years, beginning in Anaheim. He also worked in Seal Beach and El Segundo, where he retired as president of the National Management Association.
After retirement, he began a second career in real estate as an agent and broker with Blesch and Associated in Redlands.
He proudly served for many years on the Civilian Volunteer Patrol in both Redlands and Banning.
He was an enthusiastic golfer and also enjoyed his membership in the Single Action Shooting Society.
He leaves behind a son, Steven Dale Ray of Flagstaff, AZ and a brother, Malcolm Ray (Fran) of Mapleton, Utah.
