JoAnn was very active in her community, singing in the Sun Lakes Chorale. She taught School in the San Bernardino Unified School District for 40 years.
Born in Sioux City, IA in 1932 she was a loyal Hawkeye graduating from the University of Iowa with a Batchelor’s Degree in Education. She continued her education while teaching full time completing her Master’s degree while living in the Inland Empire.
JoAnn was a member of the Elk’s and travelled with their RV club along side her husband for a number of years. In addition to being active in Their Church where she played Piano.
JoAnn was preceded in death by her husband Bob, Daughter Kim Oaks and Daughter Cindy Nichol. She is survived by three sons, Robert Nichol, W. Rick Nichol and John Oaks, 6 grand children and 1 great grandchild.
JoAnn was a stalwart servant of the Lord and will be missed.
