Jo Don Howell

Jo (Kinney) Howell, born April 11, 1935 in Alvo, Nebraska, went to be with our Lord on January 18, 2019. She grew up on a farm near Alvo and graduated from Alvo High School where she was crowned Apple Bowl Queen in 1943. Jo married and moved to California with her family in 1956. She was an active member of the Beaumont Presbyterian Church since 1959 and was a soloist in the choir. She was known for her exceptionally beautiful singing voice. Jo was a much loved secretary at Beaumont High School for fifteen years and retired in 1985. Her favorite hobbies were singing, horseback riding, and traveling. She was also known for her excellent pie-baking skills. Jo loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Tom Howell of Cherry Valley; four sons, Shawn (Lauren), Randy (Diana), and Brien (Lisa), all of Beaumont, and Mark (Shawnee) of Boise, Idaho; 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life service will take place at the Fellowship in the Pass Church on Saturday, February 2nd at 1:00 p.m. The family suggests donations to the Memorial Fund at the Beaumont Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 368, Beaumont, CA 92223 in lieu of flowers.
