Joseph Abel Gutierrez

Joseph Abel Gutierrez, 28, passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2018 in Banning, California. He was born May 30, 1989 in West Covina, California to Joseph, Jr. & Carol Duran Gutierrez. Joe graduated from Beaumont High School in 2007 and joined the United States Army shortly after where he was awarded an Army Achievement Medal (2nd award), National Defense Service Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon and Overseas Service Ribbon. Upon returning home to Banning, he worked at the Loma Linda Veterans Hospital and was a member of LifePoint Church and Canaan Church both of Banning.

Joe is survived by his wife Arlene Gutierrez, Banning; daughters, Larene Gutierrez and Sophia Gutierrez; sons, Anthony Gonzalez-Gutierrez, Roman Gutierrez and Joseph Gutierrez; parents, Carol and Joseph B. Gutierrez of Beaumont; brother, Adam Gutierrez of Beaumont; sisters, Darla & Jonathan Clark of San Jacinto and Carina Gutierrez of Beaumont; grandparents, Abel and Lupe Duran of Banning and many loving nieces and nephews.

A visitation is scheduled for Monday, February 19, 2018 from 4:00pm - 8:00pm with an evening service beginning at 6:00pm at Weaver Mortuary. Funeral service will take place Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at 9:30am at Weaver Mortuary, 1177 Beaumont Avenue, Beaumont, California. A graveside service with military honors will follow at 11:30 am at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside, CA 92518.
