Lawrence Ray Tarvin

He was preced in death by his wife of 30 years, Kathymarie Tarvin; his parents, Sidney and Vernice Tarvin and his brother, Sidney Lyndell Tarvin.

Larry is survived by his son, Ron Tarvin and his wife Chrys of San Francisco, California and their two children, Sarah and husband Melvin Tan of Seattle, Washington and Rachel of Fayeteville, Arkansas; his daughter Lori Ferguson and her two daughters, Cassandra and Katherine Hoffmeister of Kanab, Utah.

Larry's life is a testament to giving and is evident in his ability to live life on his own terms despite health issues. He especially enjoyed sharing through song as a member of Glorybound gospel quartet and the church choir. He was dedicated to family and work, retiring from the Fontana Unified School District after 30 plus years of service. The simple things in life are what broughtLarry pleasure and he will be sorely missed by family and friends.

Visitation Tuesday, May 1, 2012, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at Weaver Mortuary 1177 Beaumont Avenue, Beaumont, California. Funeral Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at 11:00 AM, Fellowship in the Pass Church, 650 Oak Valley Parkway, Beaumont, California. Burial will follow at Mt. View Cemetery, 1315 Edgar Avenue, Beaumont, California.
