Merrill H. Seyl, 83, passed away June 8, 2015 at his home in Cherry Valley, California, where he had lived for 50 years. He was born September 21, 1931 in Cedar County, Nebraska to Henry Leo and Ilo Delphia (Leapley) Seyl.
Merrill was a retired Sergeant with the California Highway Patrol. He also served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War, achieving the rank of Sergeant when he was Honorably discharged in 1952.
Merrill was preceded in death by his parents, his brother and one grandson. He is survived by his wife Charline; three daughters Stacy of Beaumont, California, Darci of Palm Springs, California and Wynne of Willard, Missouri; one sister Dorla Arduser of Alaska and four grandchildren.
Graveside services were held Monday, June 15, 2015 at Stewart Sunnyslope Cemetery, Beaumont, California.
Arrangements were entrusted to Weaver Mortuary, Beaumont, California.
