Rob Roy Michaelson, age 37, passed away July 18th from medical complications. Rob was born in San Dimas, CA, attended schools in Glendora and Yucaipa, CA, attended Cal State San Bernardino, and Montana State University in Bozeman, MT.
Rob performed as drum major for the Yucaipa Junior and Senior High School Bands. He also played tenor and alto saxophone in both bands. He played AYSO soccer from age 5 until age 17, as well as several years of baseball.
His wide-ranging interests included a deep love of professional sports; he was a passionate fan of the Boston Red Sox, the Green Bay Packers, the Notre Dame Football team, and the Montana State University Bobcats. He loved his dogs, gardening, karaoke, and a variety of musical genres; he was an avid horseman.
Rob had a quirky sense of humor and loved victimizing his friends and family with his practical jokes. He cherished his two young nephews.
He had just become engaged to Katelyn Bohmer from Dillon, MT.
His employment history included dog training, woodworking specialist in MT, and approximately 10+ years employment with Cardinal Beverage Distributor in Bozeman, MT as a truck driver and warehouse floor manager.
Rob is survived by his parents, Joe and Teresa Michaelson; sister, Jennifer Martini; brother-in-law, Gino Martini; nephews, Nico and Reno Martini; aunts, Anne Michaelson, Linda Meyer, and Bonnie Wooter; uncle, Chet McDowell, and his fiancé, Katelyn Bohmer.
Celebration of his life will be held at the United Methodist Church of Yucaipa, 35177 Beech Ave., 92399, Sunday July 31st at 3:00pm.
