Robert Burton Jr.

On June 22,1967 in Lonoke, Arkansas a precious baby boy was born to proud parents Robert Burton Sr. and Julia Burton- Kollmyer. Robert Burton Jr. was the third child of four siblings. While Robert was still young the family moved to San Diego, California.

He received his formal education through the San Diego Unified School District. Robert attended Horton Elementary, Audubon Elementary, Albert Einstein Junior High School and graduated from James Madison High School with the class of 1985. Robert accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior in May 2023, Led by his Mother Julia Kollmyer.

As a young twenty-year-old adult Robert Burton, Jr. enlisted in the United States Army. He valued this service highly and was awarded an honorable discharge.

He worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator for Maricopa County, Arizona, Riverside County, and Waste Management in Corona, California for over twenty- seven years.

On April 22,2022 Robert was united in holy matrimony to Dorian Carter. They made a difference in each other’s life.

Who was Robert Burton Jr.?

He was a jack of all trades: We would always say call Robert, he can do it, or he could talk you through it. A big-hearted man who loved people, loved to entertain, and make you feel at home. He always wore a smile on his face; In the hospital Doctors and Nurses were amazed at his spirit.

He was Friendly, Considerate, Dependable, Compassionate, Encouraging, Accepting, Attentive, Humble, Joyful, Kind, Polite, Sensitive, Sincere, Sociable, Thoughtful, Understanding, Sympathetic, Trustworthy, Well-mannered, and Respectful.

Robert endured hardness as a good soldier, On September 24, 2023, God called his soldier home to eternal rest.

Left to cherish his wonderful memories are: His loving wife Dorian Carter-Burton, mother Julia (Kenneth) Kollmyer, Conway, AR, Father Robert (Mamie) Burton, Lonoke, AR,, One daughter, Lela Mae Burton of Rolla, MO, two bonus sons Michael Williams II, Sacramento, CA, Omar Pugh, Beaumont, CA. Three sisters, Cassandra Shorter, Temecula CA, Donna Marie (Parish) Morris of Marietta, GA, Nicolle (Dr. Phillip) Fletcher, Conway AR, Two bonus sisters Tina (Mark) Underwood, Shaunte (Stacy) Cole, both of San Diego CA, Grandmother, Lela Phillips of Conway, AR, Mother in law, Joyel Thomas, Rialto, CA. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles, one great niece “SIMONE” who loved him dearly.

A funeral service for Robert will be held Thursday, October 19, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Weaver Mortuary, 1177 Beaumont Ave, Beaumont, California 92223. A reception to follow service will occur at Weaver Mortuary.
