Thomas was born in Denver, Colorado to his parents Herman and Helen Schwarz. He was married to Ruth Schwarz for 45 years, together they raised their children Shelly & Bobby Schwarz. He also has grandchildren Alexis Radeleff, Bobby Schwarz Jr. and Tommy Schwarz, and Nicole Radeleff. His siblings were Ted & Terry Schwarz. He was preceded in death by his father Herman, his wife Ruth and his son Bobby.
He loved woodcarving, bowling and golf, and also spending time with his grandkids.
Shelly Schwarz now Shelly Andrews had this to say about her father:
My dad was my hero. He took care of my mom, his wife for many years when she was ill. He also took care of his Mom until he no longer could. He was the best Papa to his grandkids, he took them to sporting practices, to school and he also took the neighborhood kids. He would drop anything and everything at any time to help myself or my kids and took care of my Mom until her last breath. He will be missed so much.
