Audrey Daniels

Ms. Audrey Daniels, age 79, of Mount Hope, West Virginia, passed away on Sunday, August 3, 2025. Born May 7, 1946, in Slab Fork she was the daughter of the late Lundy Winston Mills and Virginia Brewer Mills.

Audrey enjoyed attending church and reading her Bible and was a member of Cool Ridge Free Will Baptist Church. She also loved crossword puzzles, coloring, Dr. Pepper, spending time with family and being a grandmother. She worked at G.C. Murphy and later at the A&P store.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband and father of her children, James Douglas Daniels, a grandson Zachary Daniels, a brother Douglas Mills and a sister, Shirley Young.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son James Daniels and wife Prissy; daughter Kimberly Mitchell and husband James; grandchildren Brandon Daniels and wife Molly; Hunter, Jonathan and Amber Daniels; Fayth Hatcher and husband Brian; Grace Sizemore and husband Matt, all of Beckley; sister Nancy Gilbert and husband Ronnie of Texas and Rose Stewart of Florida.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at Blue Ridge Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 pm with Pastor Brian Williams officiating. Friends may gather with the family from 1:00 pm until the time of the service at the funeral home. Audrey will be laid to rest at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Raleigh Center for their kindness and support. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Southern WV.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
