Berry Aubert Ayers Jr

Berry Aubert Ayers, Jr., 81 of Danese, passed away, December 24, 2015, following a short illness. Born January 23, 1934 in Lawton, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Berry Aubert Ayers, Sr. and Trecie Fitzpatrick Ayers. Berry served his country in the United States Air Force for 26 years, during the Korean & Vietnam wars. He enjoyed playing banjo, golfing, fishing, working on his car and being with his friends & family. He was of the Christian Faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Burris Ayers; five sisters and one brother. Those left to cherish Berry’s memory is his son, Ted Ayers and wife Melissa of Denver, Colorado; daughters, Diana Wilson of Orient, Ohio and Ginger Hanna of Jacksonville, Florida; companion, June Butler of Meadow Bridge; seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Friends may gather with the family at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Tuesday, December 29, 2015 from 10-11am. Services will be held at the funeral home, Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at 11am. Burial will follow with full military graveside rights at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
