Beulah Mae Lasley

Beulah Mae Lasley, 97, of Artie, passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at her home. She was the daughter of the late Robert Treadway and Lilly Norris Treadway. Born July 7, 1919 in Wake Forrest, WV. Beulah was a longtime member and treasurer of White Oak Advent Christian Church. She enjoyed quilting, canning and loved making chocolate chip cookies for the children. In 2007 she received a Citizenship of the year award for the Clear Fork District.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband James Everett Lasley.; son, Kevin Lasley; daughters, Sandra Dingus and Penny Estep; brother, Edward Treadway. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Janet Runion and husband Terry of Charleston, WV, Cheryl Wall of Goodview, VA, and Angie Williams and husband Doug of Artie; sons, Robby Lasley of Nimitz and Doug Lasley and wife Sandy of Lawton, OK; 21 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, and a very special friend Terry Williams. The family would like to give a special thank you to neighbors Glen and Margie Williams. Friends may gather with the family Sunday, October 2, 2016 from 12-1pm at White Oak Advent Christian Church, Artie, WV. Funeral service will be held 1pm, Sunday, October 2, 2016 at White Oak Advent Christian Church with Mrs. Audrey Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens with family and friends to serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, donations of sympathy may be sent to Bowers Hospice House, 454 Cranberry Drive, Beckley, WV.
