Carol Bernice Williams

Born on December 24, 1948, in Stickney, WV, Carol was the daughter of strongly devoted parents, the late Lovell and Goldie Williams.

Carol was a dedicated registered nurse for over thirty years, who cared seriously for all her patients. She started her career in the medical field as a receptionist and later graduated from nursing school while also raising three young daughters. She loved her family dearly and was a humble Christian of deep faith, who prayed daily for others’ well-being, health, and happiness. She also enjoyed serving her community as a poll worker during election season.

Carol was a loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, sister, sister-in-law, and daughter. She was preceded in death by her dear brother Kenneth Williams and beloved nieces Cheryl and Debbie. She is survived by her brother Donald, sisters-in-law Kendell and Carolyn, daughters Kimberly, Michelle, and Tiffany; sons-in-law Homer and Gary, grandchildren Brittany, Zachary, Rebekah, Racquel, and Jaclyn; great-grandson Zachary Jr, nephew and niece Steven and Alicia; great-nieces and nephews Elaina, Jeremy, Troy, Ashlyn, Reagan and Tommy. She also leaves many other family members and dear friends who will sadly miss her.

Those who knew Carol will remember her humorous sayings, her generous, loving heart, and her unwavering faith in God and His angels.

There are no words that can express how grateful and blessed we are to our family, close friends, many dedicated doctors and nurses, the caring staff and friends at Dogwood Crossing Senior Living & Memory Care in Tazewell, VA, and the MSA Hospice staff for all their assistance and support over the years and during her last weeks and days.

In keeping with her wishes, there will be a service to celebrate her life on Friday, May 30, 2025 at 2PM at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, 5251 Robert C. Byrd Drive, Beckley, WV 25801. Close family members will serve as pallbearers. Following the service, Carol will be laid to rest at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, in the Tower Garden, 5250 Robert C. Byrd Drive, Beckley WV 25801.
