Charles Bell

Charles “Dave/Charlie” Bell, 73, of Crab Orchard, WV, went home to be with the Lord on March 17th, 2026. Born to parents James and Ivalene Bell in Crab Orchard he grew up to be a simple man that enjoyed the simple pleasures life has to offer. He worked for over 30 years for the Raleigh County Commission, but in his free time he enjoyed hunting and went fishing every chance he got, sometimes even waking his wife up at 4 in the morning ready to take her with him. The only thing he loved more than fishing was spending time with his family enjoying the company of his wife, siblings, and his nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Ivalene; brother James “Junior” Bell Jr.; sisters Mildred “Cricket” Bell-Fransisco; Mary Francis Bell; Leona “Janie” Jane Bell-Shaeffer, and Virginia “Sally” Mae Bell-Pierce; nephews Anthony Wayne Bell and James Carson Bell; and his step-daughter Donna Wyatt.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 35 years Lillie Bell; sisters Janet Lee Bell-Rose (husband Jerry) and Judith Ann Bell-McMillion; brother John Wayne Bell (wife Sally); and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at Blue Ridge Funeral Home of Beckley, WV, with night visitation on Monday March 23rd from 6pm to 9pm and a brief visitation for those that are unable to make it Monday night from 12 pm to 12:30 pm on Tuesday March 24th. A graveside service will be held at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at 1pm following the visitation on Tuesday.
