David William Porter, 44, of Page, formerly of Sophia, WV, passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2016. He was the son of Samuel Porter and the late Patty Bagrich Porter. Born June 14, 1972 in Beckley, West Virginia. He enjoyed Nascar and traveling. He was a graduate of Independence High School and attended Beckley College. David was known for being strong willed and very independent. Proceeding him in death are his mother, Patty Bagrich Porter. Those left to cherish his memory includes his father, Samuel Porter; uncles, Ricky Miller and wife Karen of Midway; great-uncles and aunts, Ina Miller of Sophia, WV, Zella Holman of Arlington, VA, Roscoe Porter of Ashland, OH, Reva Cooper of Tampa, FL, Charles and Joe Porter of Kansas City, KS and Shirley Seville and husband Bill of Myrtle Beach, SC. Friends may gather with the family Monday, August 1, 2016 from 10-11am at Blue Ridge Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 1, 2016 at 11am at Blue Ridge Funeral Home with Pastor Glen Kuhn officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
