Denny Ray Williams, 75, passed away on April 15, 2026. Born on February 27, 1951, Denny lived a life marked by steady devotion, quiet strength, and a deep commitment to what mattered most—his family and his faith.
Denny built his working life through honest labor and perseverance, first as a coal miner in the mines in Eccles, WV, and later as an auto body repair technician for Ken Williams Body Shop. In each role, he was known for the kind of dependable, hard-working spirit that earns respect over time—showing up, doing the job well, and treating others with fairness and sincerity.
He was a devoted husband and father who dearly loved his wife of 54 years, Drema. His loyalty ran deep, and those closest to him knew they could count on his steady presence, compassionate heart, and unwavering care.
Denny’s interests reflected both energy and pride in the things he enjoyed. When he was younger he loved playing basketball and he followed the WV Mountaineers' sports teams with faithful enthusiasm. As he got older he also enjoyed attending races, car and truck shows, even winning trophies for his own show truck.
A devout Christian, he attended the Maple Valley Baptist Church, Denny’s faith was not simply something he professed, but something he lived—through kindness, humility, and a genuine concern for others. His legacy is one of devotion and compassion: a man who cared for his family and faith above all else, and whose honest, loyal character will be remembered with gratitude and respect.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Conston and Georgie Williams; a beloved son Gary Williams; brother Frank Williams; sister Janet Lou Gill; nephews Lacy Armstrong Jr. and Dean Loudermilk; his mother-inlaw and father-in-law Daisy Teel and James Teel; and brothers-in-law Dick Loudermilk and Charles Massey.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, the love of his life, Drema Kay Williams; brothers Conston "Connie" Williams Jr., Kenny Williams (Lynn), Gary Williams (Cindy), and Jeff Williams (Kim); sisters Elizabeth "Liz" Loudermilk, Betty Massey, Brenda Dow (Watus), and Sherrie Williams; sister-in-law Peggy Williams; and many friends, nephews, and nieces including closely cherished great-grand niece, Audrey Teel and special friends Tony Yearego, Stephanie Yearego, Fayth Yearego-Clark, and Ryle Yearego.
Services by Pastor Brad Williams will be held at Blue Ridge Funeral Home of Beckley, WV on Friday, April 24th, 2026 at 3PM. The family will receive visitors beginning at 1:30 PM. Denny will be entombed at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens following the service.
