Fairren Mark Worrell

Mark was the son of the late Ernie and Mae Worrell.

Mark loved the outdoors and spent most of his time traveling to different state park locations with his dog, Socks. When he wasn’t driving around, he was playing or planning trips with his great-great nieces and nephews, Gavin, Jace, Liam, Ellianna, Emberleigh, Lane, and newest baby Waylon. He loved to spend his summers gardening and canning his vegetables.

Mark was preceded in death by father and mother Ernie and Mae Worrell, wife of 40 years, Ember Worrell, sister and brother-in-law Carol and Dan Smith, sister, Sharon Marcum, brother, David Bailes, and brother-in-law, Glen Davis.

He is survived by his brothers, Ray (Burke) Worrell, and Jody Worrell, sister, Nieca (Forrest) Cool, brother-in-law, AD Davis, sister-in- law, Susie Davis, nieces and nephews, Dale (Trish) Smith, Lisa (Brad) Farha, John Prather and Donnie Prather, Amanda Worrell, Ray Worrell, Christine and son Christopher Worrell, Jennifer Smith Lawson, Paul Michael Smith, Stacy Cooper Pridemore, Beth Cogar, Shawna Lilly, Samuel Davis and Danny Davis; Great nieces and nephews, Bobby (Makayla), Alex (Cassey), Sami (Dakota), Josh (Kelsey) Farha, Cameron, Peyton, Aniston, Abigail, Alexander, Ryder, Cami, and Milleson, and special friend Doug.

There will be a funerals service for Mark on Monday, April 14th, 2025, at 2pm at Blue Ridge Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior. Mark will be laid to rest at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the West Virginia State Park foundation.

Bobby Wriston, Alex Wriston, Dakota Mollohan, Gary Johnson, Doug Stover, and AD Davis will serve as pallbearers.
