In the early hours of Tuesday morning, October 23rd, 2018, God missed his angel, reclaiming the life of Gordon Dale Cochran at 68 years of age. Battling many illnesses for several years God reunited him with his beloved wife, Janie Cochran, who has awaited him at Heavens gates for four years. Gordon was a fighter, a lover, and an inspiration. He enjoyed working on his mustang, hunting, and playing with his grandchildren. He is survived by his oldest daughter Lisa Combs, son Jamie Hylton, Jamie’s eldest daughter Tisha Boone, her daughter Elle Boone, Jamie’s youngest daughter Jamie-lee Hylton, Gordon’s youngest daughter Sherri Richards, Sherri’s eldest daughter Nicole Blankenship, Nicole’s oldest son Kaiden Asbury, youngest son Waylon Blankenship, and Sherri’s youngest daughter Gracie King. Gordon’s services have been arranged for Monday, October 29th, 2018 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Friends may gather with the family from 12:00 – 2:00. He will forever be in our hearts and minds, loved and never forgotten. To a wonderful man of strong will and faith, may he rest in peace with no pain, while the angels sing his triumphs.
