Mrs. Gwendolyn Jean Richmond

Gwendolyn Jean Richmond, 81, of Beckley, passed away Thursday, March 3, 2022 following a long illness.

Born June 7, 1940 in Beckley, WV; she the daughter of the late Theron Bowling and the late Leona Hatcher Bowling.

Gwendolyn loved sewing, nature, drawing, and painting. She attended Cranberry Baptist Church when her health would allow.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Silas Richmond, Jr; two daughters, Rhonda Worley and Sharon Worley; and a brother, Calvin Bowling.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Kevin Worley of Beckley; a step-son, Brad Richmond and wife, Cindy of Newport News, VA; grandchildren, Alex Morton, Jodia Morton, Brandi Swagger, Justin Carr, Nicholas Carr, Meghan Dinwiddle, Brianne Cafarella, and Jessica Worley; 16 great-grandchildren, extended family and friends.

Services to celebrate the life of Gwendolyn Jean Richmond will be held 1:00PM Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley. Following the services, Gwendolyn will be laid to rest at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley.

Friends may gather with the family from 12:00PM until time of the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
