Kitty Jean Myles Walker

Kitty Walker, 67, of Fayetteville, passed away on October 1, 2015 at Charleston Area Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. Born August 20, 1948 in Bluefield WV, she was the daughter to the late John H. Myles and Norma J. Myles of Bradley, WV. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, John H. Myles, Jr. Kitty, loving wife, mother and grandmother, retired hair stylist of 47 years, and friend to so many, enjoyed tending to her flowers, cooking and baking, and doting on her three children and eight grandchildren. She was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church, Fayetteville. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 46 years, Omer “Buddy” Walker of Fayetteville; son, Sean Walker, of Virginia Beach, VA; son, Alex Walker and wife, Michelle, of Charlotte, NC; daughter, Tara Walker, of Virginia Beach, VA; one brother, Stephen Myles, of Cincinnati OH. Grandchildren: Brett, Taylor, and Presley Walker all of Virginia Beach; Ben, Brooke, Morgan, Jake, and William all of Charlotte; 14 nieces and nephews; several in-laws; her dear friend, Drema Srednicki; and her beloved dog, Sammy. A celebration of Kitty’s life will take place at Blue Ridge Funeral Home on Saturday, October 10, 2015, at 2:00 p.m., with Pastor Glen Kuhn officiating. Family will receive guests at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday prior to the service at Blue Ridge Funeral Home.
