Leonard Alvin Meadows

Leonard Alvin Meadows went to be with the lord in his home surrounded by family and loved ones on April 09, 2022 at 85 years old. Leonard was born in Basin, West Virginia on March 18, 1937 to the late Homer Lewis Meadows and Buelah Lee Meadows.

Leonard was proceeded in death by his loving wife of over 60 years Freda Mae Meadows in 2016.

Those left to cherish Leonard’s Memory include his daughters Sandy Akers of Virginia, Patty (Benny) McKinney of West Virginia, Grandkids Stephanie (Chris) Hewitt, Ray (Carley) McKinney, Rob Akers, Mitchel (Sam) McKinney, Joshua Akers, Sarah Akers, Great Grandkids, Dawn, Jaiden, Caroline, Katy, Kaylie, Victoria, Mia.

Some hobbies that interested Leonard including watching Jimmy Johnson race in NASCAR and gardening with his dear loving wife Freda. Leonard was a retired Coal Miner with G&A Coal Company.

Leonard also courageously served our country with the United States Navy where he retired after more than 20 years of service.

Leonard was a faithful and dedicated member of Sweet Home Baptist Church and loved his church family so much.

A graveside service to celebrate the life of Leonard Meadows will be held at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens on Friday, April 15, 2022 at 1PM, with Pastor Justin Farley officiating.
