Loretta P. Wingo Holsten, 90, passed away October 13, 2018 in Fairfield Ca. She was born in Ameagle, WV January 27, 1928 to John and Cora Bell Wingo. She graduated from Clear Fork High School. After marriage, she lived in Cleveland (Brook Park), Ohio and worked for Pick-N-Pay grocery store for 25 years. Upon retirement, she moved to Beckley, WV where she made her home for many years. She was a volunteer at Raleigh General Hospital. Loretta was a faithful member of Parma Park Church of God and Beckley Church of God.
She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Thelma Arthur, Lillian Stanley, Guinea Wingo, Mitchell Wingo, Carl (Tommy) Wingo, Charlotte Thompson, Marie Markham and Mary Woodrum.
She is survived by son, David (Tiffiny) Holsten, granddaughters, Amy and Erica of Austin, TX, and one sister Elvis Stover of Beckley, WV and numerous nieces and nephews. She will be remembered as an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns and WVU Mountaineers. Her smile, quick wit and wonderful sense of humor will be greatly missed.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, October 27 in the Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Home with Reverend F.D. Sexton and the Reverend Danny Bennett officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Burial will follow the service in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, National Headquarters, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL. 60601.
