Loretta Johns Legg

Loretta Lue Legg, 85 of Mt. Lookout passed away Thursday, December 29, 2016. Born May 2, 1931, in Edmond, WV she was the daughter of the late William Murry and Annie Pearl Johns. In addition to her parents, Loretta is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, William Harold (Hido) Legg; brothers, Raleigh Johns and Randall Johns; sisters, Lucille Burdette, Lola Johns, Lorena Mae Dorsey-Ross, Lenora Thomas, Dorothy Allen and Leona Fae Nelson. Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Roger Legg and wife, Joyce of Lexington, SC, with grandchildren, Stacey and Chad Dillon; great-grandchildren, Hailey Martin and Caden Dillon, Monica and Jeremy Lindler; great-grandchildren, Layla and Dawson; son, Tom Legg and wife, Betty of Lexington, SC, with grandchild, Clinton and Kristin Legg and great-grandchildren, William, Brodie and Callie Ann Legg. Loretta was the last of the Johns family and enjoyed the many nephews and nieces that she dearly loved. She also was like family with the many friends of the Mt. Lookout Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, knitting, caring for animals, talking with people about the Bible, and being with her family. A memorial service for Loretta will be held at 1:00 PM on January 14, 2017 at the Mount Lookout Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses with John Foster presiding.
