

Mary was born April 6, 1925 in Iroquois, West Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Rev. Lonnie Blankenship and the late Gladys McKinney Blankenship. She was a lifelong resident of Wyoming and Raleigh Counties.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Raymond Polk; brothers, Marvin Blankenship of Athens, West Virginia, Bob Blankenship of Yuma, Arizona, Leslie Blankenship of Cyclone, West Virginia; sisters, Edith Blankenship of Beckley, West Virginia, Peggy Walsh of Merrett Island, FL, Anna Joyce of Corinne, West Virginia.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving son, James Randall Polk of Prestonsburg, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Dallas G. Polk and wife, Judy of Lexington, Kentucky and Randi Lynn Polk of Richmond, Kentucky; three great-grandchildren, Carolyn Taylor Polk, Dallas Ryan Polk and Benjamin Keita.
Services to celebrate the life of Mary Angeline Polk will be held Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, 5251 Robert C Byrd Drive, Beckley with Reverend Ron Hodge officiating. Following the services Mary Angeline will be laid to rest at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley beside her beloved husband, James.
Friends may gather with the family from 12:00PM until time of the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
Marty devoted her life to service for others through the Gulf Woman's Club, Sophia Little League, and the Veterans of Foreign War Auxiliary . Here life was one of giving and helping others.
She will be missed in this life, but we look forward to the reunion with her in her Heavenly home.
