Michael Larry McComas

Michael Larry McComas, 63 of Midway, WV went home to be with the Lord in the early hours on Sunday, February 22, 2015. He was born on July 9, 1951. He was the son of the late William Elzie and Betty Cecil McComas.

Michael was a long time employee of Comer Electric of Beckley until he was injured in a car accident four years ago which left him a quadriplegic. He enjoyed camping, hunting and gardening.

Michael was preceded in death by his dad, William “Elzie” McComas, his mother, Betty Cecil McComas of Midway and a sister, Donna Carol Perdue of Bluefield, WV.

Those left to cherish his memory include his four aunts, Greta and Carolyn McComas of Midway, WV, and Shirley Brogan of Fairdale, WV and Berdie Cecil of Stephenson, WV; also a special friend, Don Lockhart of Bluefield.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the Visiting Angels who cared for Mike night and day.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, March 2, 2015 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley with Pastor Dean Adams officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.

Friends may gather with the family Monday from 1 – 2 PM at the funeral home.
