

Otis Junior Lambert 89, of Midway, went home to be with his Savior on Saturday, April 9, 2016, after an extended illness. Born November 11, 1926 in Freeman he was the son of the late Hoye Mack and Lora(Miller) Lambert of Ashe County North Carolina. Otis made his home at Midway for over 62 years after moving from Affinity. He was a retired coal miner and a Veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member of Coal City Church of God for over 30 years. He will be sadly missed by his family, friends, and church family. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 67 years, Lillian (Newman) Lambert, two daughters Lora Mae and Sharon Ann Lambert; three brothers, Basil, Olem, and Daimon Lambert, and his sister Thelma Newman. Those left to carry on his legacy include his two daughters Susan Johnson and her husband David of Beckley, Gloria Harmon and her husband Hubert of Midway; his grandchildren, Scott Harmon of Midway, Debbie Green and her husband Michael of Beaver; great-grandchildren, Brett and Courtney Green of Beaver; two sisters Elsie L. Miller and Ardie Little both of North Carolina. Services celebrating the life of Otis Lambert, will be held Tuesday April 12, 2016 at 1 pm in the chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Home with his pastor Clarence Lee officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Hubert Harmon, Scott Harmon, David Johnson, Michael Green, Brett Green and Joey Mann.
