

Paul Saddler Paul Saddler 62, of Daniels passed away Thursday January 14, 2016 in the Bowers Hospice House. Born June 25, 1953 in Charleston he was the son of the late James R. and Ivory Blondena Hizer Saddler. Paul was a 1971 graduate of Clear Fork High School in Raleigh county. He was a veteran of the United States Navy serving on the USS Waccamaw, and the USS America; he also served in the Naval reserves and the Army National Guard. He served his country proudly during the Vietnam war. Paul lived in the upper peninsula of Michigan for 25 years, before returning to Raleigh county and making his home in Daniels for the past 14 years. Paul touched the lives of many people with his smile and generosity. He maintained his trademark sense of humor all the way until the end. He loved to travel, go camping, fishing, hunting, working with his hands building things, spending time at his camp on the Greenbrier River, but most of all loved being with his grandkids. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Eva May Saddler, and his grandparents, James and Rosie Hizer, and Goerge David and Ida Mae Canterberry. Those left to cherish his memory include, his wife Kitty Blackburn Saddler of Daniels, his children Paul Joesph Saddler and his companion Kaylina Versailles of Marinette WI, Jennifer Lynn Emmes and husband Caleb of Porterfield WI, two grandchildren Henry Emmes, and Kaitlyn Saddler. His brothers and sisters, James Edward Saddler and wife Dianna of Winston Salem NC, George Louis Saddler and wife Linda of Duncanville AL, Ralph David Saddler and wife Cindy of Jumping Branch WV, John Shannon Saddler and wife Carolina of Beckley WV, Rosemary Wilkes and husband John of Pax WV, Deborah Lynne Pritt and husband David of Beckley WV, he also is survived by his wonderful animal friends, his dog Angel, and his four cats Precious, Trixie, Squeaky Blue and Nikki, he leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and dearly loved friends. The family would like to give a heart felt thank you to the wonderful staff of the Bowers Hospice House and Hospice of Southern West Virginia for the wonderful care given to Paul during this most difficult time. In keeping with Paul’s wishes he will be cremated. A memorial service honoring the life of Paul Saddler will be held Tuesday January 19, 2016 at 6pm in the chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5pm until service time Tuesday at the funeral home. Military honors will be given by the Wyoming County Veterans Honor Guard.
