Peggy Lee Daniels

Peggy Lee Cochran Daniels, 68, of North Myrtle Beach, formerly of Beckley, WV and Colorado Spring, CO, passed away Thursday, September 15, 2016.

Peggy was born March 29, 1948 in Welch, WV to the late Lloyd Cochran and Margaret Toth Cochran. She graduated as valedictorian of the 1966 class of Oceana High School. She achieved a master’s degree in Nursing. Peggy worked several years as an RN at Raleigh General Hospital where she was head nurse. She retired in November 2014 from Grand Strand Medical Center, Myrtle Beach.

After retirement, she enjoyed traveling, visiting with her sons, grandchildren and family. For a past time, she also enjoyed being a Mary Kay representative.

She was a member of Beckley United Methodist Temple.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Gregory “Greg” Miley Daniels, September 26, 1999; nephew, Bradley Shumate; in-laws, William “Bud” T. and Quinnie Adams Daniels.

Those left to cherish her memory includes her sons, Scott Daniels and wife Jennifer of Lawrenceburg, IN and Chris Daniels of Beckley; four precious grandchildren whom she loved dearly, Gavin, Avery and Max of Lawrenceburg, IN and Nathan of Beckley; sister, Debbie Shumate of Beckley; brother-in-law, Danny Daniels and wife Therese of Lynco; sister-in-law, Joetta Acord and husband Ron of Oceana; seven nieces and nephews, several great nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends. Peggy will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Friends may gather with the family Wednesday, September 21, 2016 from 11am-1pm at Blue Ridge Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held 1pm, Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home with Pastor Ron Acord officiating.

Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
