Sherie Elaine Martin

Sherie Elaine Martin, age 69, of Beckley passed away on Tuesday, October 22, 2019. Sherie was born on July 26, 1950 in Long Branch, WV to her late parents Walter Allen and Nannie Jane (Maynor) Crookshanks.

Sherie leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband of 24 years, Joe L. Martin; children Paul (Pam) Ballard, Paulette (Kenny) Graham, Cliff (Staci) Bratcher, Jason L. (Crystal) Martin, Jake (Debbie) Bratcher, and Allen (Genena) Bratcher; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; special sister Kathy Clay; brothers Dale (Shari) Crookshanks and Carl (Joan) Crookshanks; and many nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss her dearly. Sherie is preceded in death by her parents and her late grandson Kenny Graham III.

Sherie loved to be outdoors fishing, camping, and spending time with her family at the family camp on the Greenbrier River. She put her faith and family first in her life. She enjoyed singing with the church choir and worshiping with her church family. Throughout her life she had the pleasure of serving her community with Pre-K and Kindergarten age children as a teacher's aide. She had a huge heart for all of the children that she had the honor to help.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, October 25, 2019 from 11 am - 1 pm at Blue Ridge Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will begin at 1 pm following visitation. Sherie will be laid to rest at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens following services. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Southern WV or to Mountainview Church of God in memory of Sherie.
