Wanda Carol Carter

Wanda Carol Carter, age 78, of Sophia, West Virginia passed away on Sunday, May 25, 2025 at Hidden Valley Center. Born March 30, 1947 in Logan County, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Louella Large Wrenn.

Carol attended both Mann and Mullens High Schools before marrying her husband, Denver Carter. In her earlier years she and Denver enjoyed boating and water skiing. She also enjoyed painting and music.

Carol worked at the Iroquois Company Store and the Itmann Company Store before going to work for her brother at Big Dave's in Mullens.

She was of the Baptist faith and attended Bethel Freewill Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her husband Denver, brothers Howard and David Wrenn and a sister Pamela Kidd.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sister Brenda Ross of Sophia, brother Larry Wrenn of Amigo and many nieces, nephews and other extended family members.

A Celebration of Carol's life will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2025 at 6:00 pm at Glen White Church of God with Reverend Vickie Buzminsky officiating. Friends may gather with the family beginning at 5:00 pm.
