Visitation will be 11 am – 1 pm with funeral service at 1 pm on Monday, March 2, 2020 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home. Interment with military honors will follow services at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Condolences may be offered at www.blueridgefuneralhome.com .
He was born March 29, 1927 in Winding Gulf, WV. He was preceded in death by his parents William Sr and Maxine Addison. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 58 years Lodema, his daughter Mitzie Lilly and his grandson Patrick Alan Hancock Jr.
Left to mourn his passing are his three children Linda Gayle Poland, Brenda Kay Turner and William David Addison along with his 2 brothers Joe Addison of California, Bud Addison of Arizona and his sister Ella Newsome of Florida.
Brother Addison was a faithful Christian. He was known to many as a positive role model and led many young people to God throughout his life. He never missed an opportunity to witness. He was an active father, grandfather, great grandfather and great great grandfather.
His neighbors will remember him singing from the front porch, his grandkids will remember him sneaking bites of their candy and his children will remember him always being there for them.
He will be missed by all of his family and many friends and neighbors.
