

Born March 2, 1935 in Wyoming County, WV; he was a son of the late Harry and Gracie Mae Bryant.
Bill never met a stranger, and loved to talk to people; he loved NASCAR Racing, hunting, fishing, digging ginseng and many other roots and plants in the mountains of WV that he loved so much.
Bill started his working career as a Truck Driver for Courte Construction, then became a coal miner, and retired from Phillips Machinery where he rebuilt mining equipment.
Bill loved the Lord, and was of the Baptist Faith, and a Member of the Fairview Christian Community Church in Mercer County.
In addition to his parents, Harry and Gracie Bryant, Bill was preceded in death by a grandson, William Thomas Bryant; brother, Dewey Bryant; sister-in-law, Marry Ann Bryant; brother, Seaton Bryant; brother-in-law, William Michael Sparks and a niece, Teresa Monk.
Bill had a special place in his heart for his family that he loved very deeply and those include his loving wife of 60 years, Norma Jean Bryant; his son, William Christopher Bryant and wife, Katherine Bryant of Fisherville, VA; daughter, Carolyn Jean Carmack and husband, Joel L.; granddaughter, Tian Grace Carmack all of Bristol, TN.; two sisters, Greta Bryant Lambert and husband, Jack of Beckley and Cathy Bryant Sparks of Beckley; nephew, Rick Lambert and wife, Teresa of Albany, GA, niece, Anjel Smithers and husband, Tony of Providence, NC; nephew, Tim Bryant and wife, Teresa of Statesville, NC; several brothers and sisters-in-law, extended family and a host of friends that will miss him and cherish his memories and his legacy that he leaves behind.
A private family gathering will be held beginning at 11:00AM Friday, December 27, 2024 followed by a gathering of family and friends for Bill from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley, West Virginia, with a service to celebrate Bill's life and legacy at beginning 1:00 PM with Benny Buckner officiating. Following the services Bill will be laid to rest in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley, West Virginia.
John Green, Lon Green, Joel Carmack, John Tipton, Ted Green and Kenny White will be serving as pallbearers.
