Agnes “Dena” Klunk went home to be with the Lord on February 20th, 2017. Raised in Baltimore, she was the oldest daughter of Mario and Mary Sciuto and sister of Nino Sciuto, Freddy Sciuto, Josie Bowman, Annie Bavett, Nancy Iacoboni, and two siblings who died in early childhood. She was the beloved wife of James (Jimmy) L. Klunk Jr., mother of Mary K. Osborne, James (Buzzy) Klunk III, Danny Klunk, Cecilia Durazzo, and Joe Rumsley. She was a wonderful grandmother to Jennifer Cope, Daniel Klunk, Antonnnino Klunk, Giannina Klunk, Jonathan Klunk, Jordan Klunk, Deanna Durazzo, Sergio Durazzo, Jessica Stine, Christina Durazzo, Evelyn Rumsley, and Karen Rumsley. She is survived by twelve beautiful great-grandchildren: Susannah Cope, Nicholas Cope, Joshua Cope, Catherine Cope, Alexis Klunk, Gigi Klunk, Daniel Klunk, Alexa Klunk, Rylee Norman, Juliana Stine, Jax Stine, and Lylah Freeman She is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews.
Agnes was a deeply faithful woman who did all she could to make this world a better place. She was a “Rosie Riveter” during WWII, and her tough and lively spirit endured throughout her entire life. She was smart as a whip, had incredible common sense, and poured out love on everyone she met. Her laugh, her smile, and her witty personality brought so much joy to us all. She will be greatly missed, but we know she is in the loving arms of our Lord, celebrating with Jimmy and her family and friends that went before her.
