Bernadette Agnes Pacheco Trujillo passed away peacefully on June 8th with family by her side. She was the wife of her devoted husband John Trujillo Sr. and fiercely loved her children: the late John Jr., Darrell, Diana and her husband Tyler.

She was the daughter of the late Manuel and Elizabeth Pacheco. Bernadette was also a caring and compassionate sister to her 11 siblings of the Pacheco family- Manuel, Margaret, John, Bob, Julia, Olivia, Theresa, Anna, Rita, Mario, and Christopher.

She will not only be remembered as a treasured wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend, but she was a devoted nurse. Bernadette was a very proud graduate of Johns Hopkins School of Nursing and would give anything to help her patients, doctors, and fellow nurses. She spent the latter part of her nursing career dedicated to cancer research and she was truly passionate about her work as a nurse. She would have worked till her last days if she could have.

Bernadette will always be remembered as an amazing cook. Sharing her love for food with everyone she knew truly brought her joy. She also loved a good cocktail, Broadway Musicals, true crime reality shows, fresh flowers, reading, singing, listening to music and making people laugh.

Bernadette touched the lives of so many and will live in the hearts of everyone who had the honor of being in her presence. May she rest in eternal peace with her God

John and family,
So sad to hear of Bernadettes passing. When my husband died twelve years ago, I received a beautiful message and it gave me comfort and has stayed with me.
DEATH WILL ROB YOU OF YOUR LOVED ONE!
BUT NO ONE CAN STEAL YOUR BEAUTIFUL MEMORIES.
I grew up in the farm next to the Pacheco’s, Bernadette was a ray of sunshine to us all.
You are in my thoughts and prayers in the difficult days ahead. Love , Ida Reiff

I took care of Bernadette as a patient and no matter her struggles she was kind and always smiling. She had such a lovely demeanor and it was an honor to know her.

I have very fond memories of Ms. Trujillo bringing us a whole lunch spread at Edgewood High School counseling office. She went all out with her delicious homemade goodies. What an incredible heart she had for everyone!! She filled our stomachs and our hearts with such genuine generosity.

Dear John, Diana, Darrell and the extended Trujillo and Pacheco families,

We are so saddened by Bernadette's passing, and send our most sincere condolences. Bernadette was a treasure whose jokes, laughter, and caring and loving spirit made her a joy to be around. Thankfully her suffering of these past years is over now, and our hearts go out to you and everyone who loved her. I'll miss my sweet comadre.

Love and hugs,
