Gerlach beloved husband of Lily Mae Gerlach (nee Carter); devoted father of Virginia Baier and Richard, Deborah Bollinger and James Robert, II, Charlene Trent and Dennis, and Katherine Pollock and David; loving grandfather of Aimee Hiteshew, Jamie Davidson, Erick Baier, Rob Bollinger, Jessica Sears, Colin Trent, Rachel Trent, Emma Trent, Ian Trent, Philip Pollock and Ava Pollock; also survived by many Great Grandchildren.

Relatives and friends may gather at Schimunek Funeral Home of Bel Air, Inc. 610 W. MacPhail Rd. Bel Air, MD 21014 on Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Stephen Church 8030 Bradshaw Rd. Kingsville, MD 21087 on Friday at 11 AM. Interment Bel Air Memorial Gardens.
