On April 30, 2023 Cliff Elgin passed away at home surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of Ellie Tryon Elgin; devoted father of Marilyn Elgin Shannahan and her husband Tim, and Greg Elgin; cherished grandfather of Emily Rose, Gracie, Carly, Bradley, Madison, and Jasmine; loving son of the late Charles and Fern Elgin; dear brother of Richard Elgin and his wife Pat, and the late C. Wesley Elgin and Holly Upperco; he is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Cliff was very proud of his service as a Marine. He was known for integrity and honesty as a Property Line Surveyor for over fifty years. He was also a lifelong member of Zion UCC. Cliff maintained lifelong friendships with his childhood friends, he loved his children with his whole heart, and was a devoted, loving, kind and caring husband and father.
A Celebration of Cliff’s life will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at 1:00PM at Zion UCC in Golden Ring. In lieu of flowers those who wish may make memorial contributions in Cliff’s name to the American Cancer Society or to Zion UCC, 7200 Golden Ring Rd., Essex, MD 21221.
