On August 20, 2022, Douglas Arthur Smith, age 81, of Bel Air, MD, passed away. He was the beloved husband of Carolyn Ann Pfeifer-Smith; dear brother of Margaret Brandt and her husband Charles, Gail Spencer and her husband Tim, the late Ruth Lohr and her late husband Wendell, and the late Joseph “Kip” Smith. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Schimunek Funeral Home of Bel Air, 610 W. MacPhail RD, Bel Air, MD 21014, on Saturday, August 27, 2022, from 10 AM to 12 PM, with a funeral service to begin at 12 PM. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery (Dundalk, MD). In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Douglas' name to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org.
