Ellen Marie Mulcahy- Lehnert

Ellen Marie Mulcahy-Lehnert left this earth to be with her love Greg in Heaven on May 26, 2026. Born on Feb 9th, 1956 in Massapequa NY to Julia and Daniel Mulcahy. Preceded in death by her parents, her sister Clare, her brother Patrick, and her loving husband Gregory Lehnert.

Ellen was a dedicated nurse who started her own home care nursing agency that is still thriving today in NY, Best Care. She also served the state of Maryland for 20 years as a Unit Chief at the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. Her helping spirit carried her through retirement.

Ellen leaves her beloved children, Kathleen Lehnert-Scott and Brian Lehnert. As well as her dearest grandchildren that she loved with all of her heart, Gregory and Maxine Scott. She also leaves her treasured siblings, Timothy, Rosemary, and Kevin Mulcahy. As well as her cherished nieces and nephews; Jill Garces, Paul Lehnert, Anne Eichler, Adam Lehnert-Spalding, Kaelin Mulcahy, Tara Mulcahy, Casey Karika, Fallon Mulcahy, Shannon Karika, and Kevin Karika.

Ellen was a nurturing soul and the most devoted mother, who gave selflessly to all she met.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Schimunek Funeral Home, Inc., 610 W. MacPhail Rd, Bel Air, MD 21014, on Friday, May 29, 2026, from 3:00 to 5:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at the St. Ignatius Church, 533 E. Jarrettsville Rd, Forest Hill, MD 21050 at 11:00 AM. Interment will be private.
